FANNY AND THE VULVAS

Sex ed can be confusing and intimidating, so I set out to create educational videos that were silly, approachable, and fundamentally gender neutral and for all ages. In these times of increasing censorship and restriction of bodily autonomy, especially children’s, accessible sex and gender education is invaluable!

In the first video, our colorful cast of vulvas takes us through their general anatomy! Say it with me, “V-U-L-V-A spells what???” Meet Fanny (they/them), Dolly (she/her), and Gene (he/him) in their debut below!

“Menstrual Rhapsody” by Fanny and the Vulvas

The second video parodies “Bohemian Rhapsody” with a delicious soundalike track and lyrics that break down the entire menstrual cycle! The lyric video features some silly footage of Queen-ly vulvas. This video was done in collaboration with a working sex educator to keep language inclusive and flexible — no two hormone cycles are alike!
